Deadline – A Clockwork Press is a GM-less tabletop RPG where you and your fellow players step into the well-worn shoes of journalists working for the largest newspaper in a bustling industrial city. Your job? Chase the stories, uncover the truth, and decide what the public gets to read tomorrow morning.

The twist is that the city itself doesn’t exist yet.

Together with 1–4 players (or even solo), you’ll build the city as you play—mapping its districts, shaping its politics, and chronicling the events that define it. Expect steam-powered industry, backroom corruption, rising rebellion, and just enough arcane weirdness to keep the headlines interesting.

Through collaborative storytelling, map-making, and news reporting, each session becomes a record of the city’s unfolding history. Every article you write and every story you pursue helps shape what the city becomes.

It’s part worldbuilding, part investigative storytelling, and part newsroom drama—with plenty of room for scandal along the way.
