Practice decoding unknown words with Alien Words from Rainbow Phonics. Each of the 148 double-sided cards contains a made-up word that you can use for learning or assessment of newly developing decoding skills.
Both sides have a unique alien image and the alien word (or nonsense word), with the front side featuring color-coded sound buttons to support the breaking up of the alien word into its units of sounds.
The outside borders are color-coded in accordance with the phases of Rainbow Phonics. Cards also integrate with the daily lessons taught explicitly from the Teacher Planners at the different grade levels.
